Harbour Front Parks Galore!

Walking out of Art Central today, I happened upon the most amazing new park in Hong Kong! The park first opened in 2012 but it has been developed in slow stages. Eventually the harbor front park will stretch all the way from Causeway Bay to Kennedy Town. It offers a true respite in the very center of the city.

There are entrances from City Hall, the Star Ferry Pier, Admiralty and Wan Chai. The park includes Tamar Park, it’s ampitheater seats over 200 people.  There is a long promenade with large grass lawns, and seems to go on and on. It is huge. There are shaded spots and even a beverage stand. I can’t wait to take the kids over for a picnic; I finally may be getting a Frisbee in Hong Kong! Not only did I get to see beautiful art work at Art Central and Art Basel but also discovering an amazing city park. What A Day!
